Calendar reminder: June 5 is the last day for students and a scheduled 2-hour early release for faculty senates

Greenbrier County Schools reminds families that schools are closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Please also remember that June 5 is the last instructional day for students, and students will be dismissed two hours early on that day to allow for required Faculty Senates.

Looking ahead, the 2026-2027 school year begins on August 31 for students in grades 1 - 12. Kindergarten begins on September 8, and Pre-K begins on September 10.

Snack packs will be sent home with all Greenbrier County Schools students the week of June 1.
For our virtual students, snack packs will be available for pick up at Greenbrier East High School. We will share additional details soon to coordinate a pickup time that works with the school.

Our next Pre-K enrollment session will be held on Tuesday, May 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Greenbrier East Pre-K Office.
Families should bring the following required documents:
-State-issued birth certificate (please do not purchase a county birth certificate for enrollment)
-Social Security card
-Insurance card
-Two proofs of residency
-Proof of income (tax return, SNAP card, or a letter from your employer with pay rate and hours)
-Current physical, dental, and immunization records
-Bloodwork results (hemoglobin, hematocrit, and lead levels)
The online Pre-K application is now available for completion
