WSSE was visited by Greenbrier East's girls basketball team yesterday as they made their way to the state basketball tournament. The team visited classrooms, read aloud books, answered questions about basketball, and even challenged WSSE teachers and staff to a quick game of basketball! Let's cheer on the GEHS Spartans as they conquer the court in Charleston tonight! Go Spartans! 🏀💪

After learning about the rock cycle, Mrs. Turschmann's class at WSSE recreated the cycle by using starbursts for rocks. There definitely was a "burst" of excitement as they saw the rock cycle in action transforming their candy into all kinds of new shapes and sizes. 🪨🌟

March is Youth Art Month!

We’re celebrating the creativity and imagination our students bring to the world every day. This year’s theme — “The World Needs Art” — is the perfect reminder of how much their ideas, colors, and stories matter.

A sincere thank‑you to the citizens of Greenbrier County for supporting the arts in our schools through the school levy. Your support makes these opportunities possible.
