Enroll for the 2022-2023 School Year this Summer!
GCS will host two summer registration for 2021-2022 school year sessions on the following dates from 10 am - 6 pm:
- July 12 (10 am – 6 pm) Ronceverte Elementary
- July 13 (10 am – 6 pm) Rupert Elementary
Please bring the following information:
Official State issued birth certificate (not a copy)
immunization record
copy of health check exam
copy of most recent dental exam
two proofs of residency
social security card of child relevant custody order, if applicable

pre-k & Kindergarten enrollment
Pre-K Enrollment
PK Enrollment will be held on April 4, 2022, at The Greenbrier County Schools Board Office at the Chestnut Street location from 9 AM – 3 PM and April 8, 2022, at Western Greenbrier Middle School from 9-3. We will practice social distancing and sanitizing so things will be a little different:

Greenbrier County Schools (GCS) will host online preschool registrations for children who will be four years old before July 1, 2022.
Families may complete the online registration form by visiting the quick links at www.greenbriercountyschools.org. Once the form is complete and submitted, the family will receive additional registration information from the preschool office. Families should begin gathering the required documentation listed below.

Pre-K ENROLLEES
The following documentation will be needed:
- State-issued birth certificate (not a copy)
- Immunization record
- Social Security card
- Two proofs of residency
- Copy of Health Check Exam (4-year physical from a physician)
- Copy of Most Recent Dental Exam
- Two proofs of residency
- Proof of 2021 income (W-2s or Tax Return)
- Insurance card
- Relevant custody order, if applicable

- PreK parents must complete the online application

Greenbrier County Schools (GCS) will host kindergarten registration on two dates and locations for children who will be five years old before July 1, 2022. Students currently enrolled in a GCS Pre-K program will automatically be enrolled in Kindergarten in their home school district; therefore, parents of GCS Pre-K students will not need to attend a registration session.
Kindergarten registration will take place at the following locations:
March 30 from 10 am to 6 pm at the 202 Chestnut Street Board Office location in Lewisburg.
March 31 from 10 am – 6 pm at Rupert Elementary School; Crawley.
GCS will conduct Kindergarten early-entrance testing in June 2022. To be eligible for this early-entrance evaluation process, a child must be five (5) years old between July 1 and September 15, 2022. Results of the tests and evaluations must provide evidence that the child not only has sufficient intellectual maturity but must also show social, emotional, and physical maturity to function within the academic setting.

May 31, 2022, to request an appointment for kindergarten early-entrance testing.
KINDERGARTEN ENROLLEES
Parents enrolling their child in Kindergarten should bring the following documents:
